Alldogsmatter - All Dogs Matter

1st4 London Dog Walking are happy to support Alldogsmatter, a registered voluntary London dog rescue charity. We have helped walk one of their rescue dogs and have been in contact with them - (visit to come!) - and are very impressed and supportive of their aims to rescue and rehome dogs in and around London.

This is particularly important in these difficult financial times with all dog adoption charities, particularly the London dog recue centers. All animal centres in London are full to the brim with dogs and even the RSPCA being selective about the dogs they will take.

For those thinking of having a dog, please seriously consider taking from an animal rescue centre in London. Why not just visit one, such as Alldogsmatter? There are plenty of dog adoption centres in London.

Alldogsmatter dogs come as strays, from local authority pounds or are simply dogs whose owners no longer can or want to keep them. They are often the dog breeds which are difficult to rehome, such as Staffordshire Bull Terriers and various crosses, with other breeds such as Dobermans and Rottweilers.

They try to pair each dog with the best new owner, ensuring that the dog will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life.

Alldogsmatter do this in three stages:
- identifying and taking on dogs in need of help;
- placing the dogs in foster homes where they can be assessed, checking their health, microchipping, neutering & vaccinating them;
- finding a home for them.

As well as rescuing dogs, Alldogsmatter also focus on education and collaborate with the local authorities to help teach responsible dog ownership and raise awareness about animal welfare. In 2010, they visited schools in North London.

They have a responsible adoption policy to ensure, as well as one can, that the adoption works for the dog and the new family.

Alldogsmatter are passionate dog lovers working hard to rescue as many homeless dogs as they can. They are looking for volunteers, be they foster carers, drivers or home visitors. Alldogsmatter also look for donations (money, but also food, toys, collars, leads and blankets ...). They would welcome help in any form so, if you think you could give the dogs a little time and help in any way, Alldogsmatter would be happy to hear from you.

Pumbaa is a 2 year old small framed neutered male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is good with people and other dogs. He knows basic commands, is fully house trained and walks well on the lead. He can live with children aged 10 plus, but cannot live with cats.

Coco is an 18 month old spayed female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. She is a tiny, small framed girl! She is great with people and children and fine with other dogs when out and about, but she will need further socialisation and she cannot live with cats. She is fully housetrained and can be left for up to 4 hours. She is a fab little girl who will make the perfect family dog.
